Misleading Subscription Model – No Refund Even If Cancelled Immediately

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with MusesAcademy. I initially paid approximately $19.99, believing it was a one-time discounted offer for access to their materials. Nowhere was it clearly and prominently stated that this would automatically convert into a recurring subscription of $54.99 every 30 days. About a month later, $54.99 was authorized from my card without any clear reminder or separate confirmation. Only then did I realize that a recurring subscription had been created. The most concerning part is what happened next: the subscription was cancelled the same day the new monthly charge was authorized, before the new period was used at all. Despite this, the company refused to issue a refund. The charge was for an upcoming period that had not yet been used, and there was no intention to continue using the service. If the company were truly transparent and customer-oriented, they would at least allow a short refund window (for example 2–3 days from the start of a new billing cycle). Instead, the structure feels designed to attract users with a discounted entry price and then lock them into significantly higher recurring payments. I strongly advise anyone considering this platform to read every detail very carefully and fully understand the recurring billing terms before entering their card information.
